The project was designed to monetize and begin production of the existing gas field in Ermelo, which have completed pilot wells. The project consisted of a 40MW power plant that would utilize the existing Natural Gas to produce saleable electricity at an economic rate.
The essence of the project opportunity and response was to provide a speedy and reliable solution to existing Natural Gas deposits in Ermelo South Africa.
In order to achieve this objective, we would provide one GEC Frame 6 PG6541B Combustion Turbine, capable of generating 40 MWH of electricity at conditions within the standard specifications of the GEC Frame 6. A front-end cooling system would be installed if necessary. The unit would operate at approximately 87% of its rated capacity to achieve a 34.8MW output availability.
