The project would provide Jamaica Energy Partners with an investment opportunity that yields an IRR of 20% or greater over a ten year period by selling electricity to the Jamaica Public Service Company, while providing the steam requirements for industry as the by-product of the power generation. The project would be providing turnkey power solutions combined with full Gas solutions, structured such that investors are assured of their returns.
The use of 4 X Siemens SGT800 Combustion Turbines capable of generating 47 MWH of electricity at conditions within the standard specifications of the SGT800. A front-end cooling system would be installed if necessary. The units would operate at approximately 87% of its rated capacity to achieve a minimum output of 140MW. Heat Recovery Steam Generation would be installed to provide steam at 1,500psi / 103.4 barg at 450°C and produce 205,950 kg / 454,042 lbs per hour.
