Waste to Energy

5MW – 50MW

The project is designed to alleviate the mounting pressures of increased waste generation in New Delhi that has become an environmental hazard, while producing energy from a 170 ton per day Waste to Energy plant. The pilot plant will demonstrate the capabilities of a proven technology and extend into contracts for over 2,000 tons of waste per day.

The Waste to Energy plant layout will include a tipping floor that is designed large enough to handle and store over 500 tons of wet Municipal Solid Waste at any given time. As waste is typically delivered to the plant over an eight hour period during normal working hours, the waste is stored on the tipping floor and processed 24 hours a day so as to provide uninterrupted output of electricity.

Based on our assessment of the demand levels for different waste types, the recyclable waste will be picked from the in-feed line (conveyor) and manually deposited into sorted bins.
